The craving for sugar many people suffer is a common addiction in today's society where sugary foods are easily available and cheap as well. However sugar craving is not just a lack of willpower like many people think, the reason the body craves sweet food can be traced back to dietary problems that cause physical withdrawal symptoms. If we are sad or depressed we have low levels of serotonin. While we may be sad for social reasons we can also get low serotonin levels by having an unbalanced metabolism. If your diet is not balanced and you do not exercise enough then your body starts to have issues like low serotonin and many other things.
