How to Use the Panasonic ZR1
- 1). Turn the camera on with the power switch located at the top of the device.
- 2). Set the "REC/Playback" selector to the camera icon to take a picture.
- 3). Select your camera mode with the mode dial. Intelligent Auto Mode uses settings automatically set by the camera for the conditions, Normal Picture Mode allows you to set your own settings, Scene Mode allows you to choose from a set of scenes that feature their own settings, and Motion Picture Mode allows you to take a video. Intelligent Auto Mode is recommended for most conditions, as the camera will automatically set the proper exposure and focus for you.
- 4). Frame your shot and zoom in or out as necessary. The zoom switch is located next to the Mode dial. Moving it towards "T" will zoom in, while moving it towards "W" will zoom out. The camera has a maximum optical zoom of 8x and a maximum digital zoom of 32x. It is recommended that you stay within the optical rage to give you the best photo quality.
- 5). Press the shutter down halfway to focus. The camera will read the subject and adjust focus, showing a green square to indicate when objects are in focus.
- 6). Press the shutter all the way down to take the picture.
- 1). Set the "REC/Playback" to the play icon to put the camera in view mode.
- 2). Use the left and right arrows to navigate through the pictures you have already taken. Holding down either button will move through the pictures quickly.
- 3). Use the zoom button to change how many pictures are viewed at a time. You can view one, 12, or 30 pictures at a time.
- 4). Press the delete button (trashcan icon) to delete the picture that you are currently viewing.
