How to Replace the Left Front Turn Signal Bulb on a 1998 Honda Civic

    • 1). Start the engine and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right to move the left tire out of the way. Turn off the engine and open the car's hood.

    • 2). Locate the holding clip on the inner fender cover. Use a flat-tip screwdriver to pry the clip off the inner fender cover. Pull off the inner fender cover.

    • 3). Find the socket in the light assembly unit. Turn the socket one-quarter turn counterclockwise and pull it out of the assembly.

    • 4). Push the bulb in and turn it counterclockwise until it unlocks. Remove the bulb and discard safely.

    • 5). Place the new bulb in the socket and turn it clockwise until it locks. Insert the socket back into the light assembly unit, turning it clockwise to lock it in place.

    • 6). Test the turn signal light to be sure it works correctly. Replace the inner fender cover and tighten the holding clip.
