How to Repair the Windshield Wipers on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix
- 1). Put the Grand Prix in "Park" and let the Pontiac cool for 15 minutes. Lift the damaged wiper up and place a towel underneath it on the windshield.
- 2). Move the wiper arm away from the windshield and position the damaged wiper blade so it's perpendicular to the glass. The wiper arm will lock into place as it's pulled back.
- 3). Depress the locking pin to release the wiper blade from the wiper arm. Slide the blade out of place and remove from the wiper arm.
- 4). Install a replacement wiper blade by placing it on the wiper arm. The blade will lock into place as it meets the locking pin. Repeat these steps for the opposite wiper blade.
