How to Upload a Song to Determine the Title
- 1). Download and install Shazam for your smartphone. Once the app is installed, hold your phone's mic near your speakers and press the large "S" button during playback of the song. Shazam will instantly upload the song to the Shazam database. If the song is recognized, Shazam will provide the title, artist, and album information. The app is compatible with the BlackBerry, iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
- 2). Visit the Midomi website. Click the search button before you play or hum the track into your microphone. Once the timer expires, the audio you recorded will upload to the Midomi database. If the audio matches any songs in the database, Midomi will display the track's info.
- 3). Download and install the Tunatic app for your PC or Mac computer. Open the program and begin playing the song. Click the Search button and wait for Tunatic to check the audio information against its database. If Tunatic identifies the song, the program will display the song's title and artist information.
