RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013 Photos
2013 is the Chelsea Flower Show centenary year so the show gardens are even better than ever. To the great delight of the Press, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) have lifted the ban on garden gnomes at RHS Chelsea Flower Show as part of the Chelsea Centenary Appeal to raise funds for their charity.
100 years ago the Show was held in a single tent but now it's a sprawling site on the grounds of the Chelsea Royal Hospital.

B&Q Sentebale Forget-Me-Not Garden
The B&Q Sentebale Forget-Me-Not Garden was Prince Harry's charity show garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013. Sentebale means 'forget-me-not' in Sesotho, the language spoken in Lesotho.
The garden took 19 days to complete on site and nearly a year to create.
Birmingham City Council
This stand inside the Great Pavilion had a theme of 'Enlightenment' and this display for the Birmingham Library included waterfalls and many books.
RBC Blue Water Roof Garden
The Royal Bank of Canada Blue Water Roof Garden was an urban garden with recreational space and biodiversity features.
Brewin Dolphin Garden
Designed by Robert Myers, the Brewin Dolphin Show Garden was a modernist garden based on L-shaped forms.
Burncoose Nurseries
Seen in the Great Pavilion, the Burncoose Nurseries display had an Edwardian tiles path through the center.
The Telegraph Garden
This contemporary garden was a representation of England as a wooded landscape with three design elements: the making of the English landscape, the Japanese approach to garden-making, and modern abstract art. I found it too lacking in color for my taste.
East Village Garden
East Village is a new neighborhood created as part of the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Gardens in east London. The area will open to residents later this year and this garden reflects elements of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
House of Hemingway - Artisan Retreats
Easy to miss, these Artisan Retreats were decorated summerhouses (sheds) to reflect each artists' individual style. House of Hemingway's water butt was incredibly cheeky!
The M&G Centenary Garden - 'Windows through Time'
This contemporary romantic garden brought together classic French and English styles.
The Rush of Nature by Marc Quinn
Designed by Roger Platts, this garden embraces both new and traditional garden features.
The SeeAbility Garden
This unique installation was created by Marc Quinn for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2013. Quinn was chosen as flowers and plant life feature so prominently in his art. The full installation was auctioned during the show week.
Trailfinders Australian Garden
With the theme of sight loss, the SeeAbility Garden was sponsored by Coutts Bank.
The Wasteland
This sustainable garden shows a relaxing Australian urban environment with plenty of native Australian plants used too.
I'm sure I'd never seen a garden at Chelsea was shopping trolleys incorporated before but this example of transformed former industrial ground did just that.
