Imagine your mind is controlled by an alien.
Well, it is how the anxiety works.
It controls the activities of the neurotransmitters in your brain.
But this kind of anxiety disorder can be recognized through behavioral learning.
Since human brain is the commander of all human behaviors, and anxiety tends to take control on it, then anxiety must be a brain issue.
People have different reactions to anxiety.
Some are completely shut down, while others suddenly become so active.
Here is an example, George has anxiety with mental shut down.
When his anxiety is not serious, he can still do his daily activities normally, but with limits.
Usually he can sort out some issues at once.
But in anxiety state, he can only focus on one issue at one time.
And the issue must have nothing to do with his personal life.
In other words, George can concentrate in completing his office tasks because they are tasks that do not require his analysis or decision.
But when he is at home, all the official issues has changed into his personal issues, such as how to pay bills, get food, provide for his family, the color of the curtains, the furniture arrangement, etc.
which need his opinion and decision, he suddenly shuts down.
Although those issues are not serious and do not require deep consideration, George really can't digest these thoughts when he is experiencing anxiety.
And if he is pushed to take decisions about those issues, he suddenly becomes hysterical.
George starts screaming, pacing, breathing heavily, feeling dizzy, and later out of control.
In this case, the best solution is to list out topics of his issues on a paper.
Then he can deal with them one by one, and one at a time.
