Finding Nutritional Balance in a Nutritionally Imbalanced World
Our time we put in at work could never equal the time we have or need for rest and relaxation, yet we keep going and going on a never ending treadmill.
Many of us have children that need to be taken care of after an 8-10 hour day at work and it just never seems to stop.
With so much busyness it's no wonder our stress levels are high.
Many people have so much on their minds that they definitely do not have time for a proper meal that would include protein, vegetables, starch and or a fruit.
But weather you have time or not, a diet that is nutritionally sound will enable you to deal with stress better, help to clear the fog of skipped meals and eating non-food items that do not contribute to the body naturally.
With all this being said, lets look into some ways of putting some balance back into your diet.
It will take a little planning but you will feel much better as you give your body what it needs to handle the busyness in your life.
First make a list of good whole foods that you need, such as raw vegetables like broccoli, carrots, celery, radishes and cucumbers.
If you like salads, that is a definite plus.
You'll need to add lettuce to your list as well.
Any of the bagged lettuce will do, experiment with a variety.
Now you will also need a good dressing.
Olive oil, lemon or lime with sea salt and pepper make for a tasty and healthy dressing you can use on a salad and cut up veggies.
Cut up your veggies and make your salad along with your dressing at night.
Store in the fridge so it will be ready for you in the morning all you have to do is grab and go.
Next if you have protein leftovers from dinner you can pack that up and you are ready for your healthy lunch the next day.
Preparing for the next day may not be easy all the time, but you will beglad the next morning when all you have to do is open the fridge and walk out the door.
Adding more fruits and veggies to your diet is imperative to your health.
Not only will it make you feel better but you will look better as the phytonutrients in the whole foods start to rebuild and revitalize every cell.
