Generally the Tickler Extra Mature Cheddar is a particular type of cheese that is obtained from the Cheddar Group of Cheese. Apart from that, you can get this type of cheese in numbers of flavors like horseradish, caramelized onion, pepper and garlic. The approximate maturing period for this type of cheese is five to six years, though, there are more old ones. Older types are not easily available and costly also. Nowadays, about 250 varieties are available in the market.

Presently, cheddar cheese is obtained from pasteurized milk, within complete mechanized environments. Though numbers of countries prepare this cheese, among them, only West Country Farmhouse has been accepted by the European Union. The reservations regarding the genuineness of this particular kind of cheese did not make any adverse reactions among people and it is quite popular now and the same has been well liked by the people throughout the world for a long period of time.
