How to Boot a Ghosted Drive

    • 1). Restart your computer and press the appropriate key to enter the BIOS menu. The screen tells you which key to press. In most cases, it is "F2," "F10" or "Delete."

    • 2). Select "Boot" or "Advanced BIOS Features" in the main BIOS menu. The words may be slightly different according to your computer brand.

    • 3). Select "Hard Disk Boot Priority" or a similar option and choose the ghost hard drive to which you want to boot. In most BIOS menus, you either select the primary drive with the "Enter" key or move the drive that you want to be the primary drive to the top of the list.

    • 4). Follow the instructions in the menu to save your changes. In most cases, you press "Enter" or "F10."

    • 5). Exit the BIOS menu by following the menu settings. "F10" usually saves your settings and exits.
