How to Get Rid of Ground Hogs With Dry Ice
- 1). Put on a pair of rubber gloves, and then scoop 3 to 4 cups of dry ice into a medium sized bucket.
- 2). Use a shovel to create a larger hole, so that the ice can slide into the groundhog's burrowing channels instead of remaining close to the surface.
- 3). Pour enough ice into the groundhog's hole so that the hole is overflowing. Use your gloved hands to pack the ice into the hole.
- 4). Repeat pouring and packing dry ice into all of the groundhog holes. Groundhogs burrow channels underneath your yard, so if you do not pack ice into all of their holes, they will start burrowing in an area where the dry ice is not present.
