How to Install a Belkin Wireless Adapter
- 1). Insert the installation CD that came with the wireless adapter. The Belkin utility screen will appear.
- 2). Click on the "Install" button. During the installation process, the program will prompt you to insert the "adaptor." Plug the adapter into an available USB port on the computer and continue to follow the on-screen instructions.
- 3). Open the Belkin Wireless Network Utility Screen. When the installation process has finished, double click on the utility screen. Open the "Available networks list" and select the network you want to join.
- 4). Click on the network. Enter the SSID (Wireless Network Name) and the network's password.
- 1). Locate the PCMCIA panel on the laptop, typically found on the left side of the laptop.
- 2). Open the PCMCIA panel slot. Make sure that the edge of the card with the connection holes is facing the PCMCIA slot.
- 3). Insert the network card into the slot. If the eject button next to PCMCIA panel pops out, the card is fully inserted into the slot. Wait for the laptop to confirm that the network card has been installed with a confirmation sound.
