How to Make a Scratch Remover for CDs, DVDs or Video Games
- 1). Distill tap water by using a water filter or buy a bottle of mineral water.
- 2). Put about 4 cups of water into a bowl and add a drop of dishwashing liquid. Mix the solution thoroughly.
- 3). Dip a lint-free cloth into the solution and gently wipe the scratched area of your CD, DVD or game. Wipe from the inner hole to the outside edge in a linear motion.
- 1). Hold the disc up to find the scratches.
- 2). Apply a small amount of toothpaste to a clean lint-free cloth and gently rub the paste into the scratches. Run the cloth, in a linear motion, over the scratches a few times. Apply more toothpaste, if necessary.
- 3). Hold the disc under warm water. Dry with a clean lint-free cloth.
