I found out about this campground through friends that camp there regularly, and I RV camped there in August 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever been to. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, located on an old farm in the tiny southern town of Tabor City. It is beautiful. Acres of woods with lots of nature trails, cows grazing, wooded or lake front lots, fishing, lots of activities.

But mostly beauty, peacefulness and true southern charm.

Pros: This place is great. The wooded sites are like being in the mountains. The open sites all have views of the woods or the several stocked fishing ponds. There are also cabins, yurts and a great shady area just for tents. Bath houses are clean and nice. There are two pools and a small water play/park area. The several acres of nature trails that you can either walk or ride in a golf cart are gorgeous. All the lakes are stocked with fish, and we had a great time catching them. This campground is part of a farm that raises cattle, so you can walk/ride out to the pasture and see them up close. The owners and employees are the nicest, most genuine people that really want you to enjoy your visit. There are activities scheduled all day every day. We went gem mining, went to a dance, karaoke, the arcade, hayrides, crafts, etc.

Cons: I cannot say one bad thing about this campground.

Nearby attractions: Historic Wilmington, Myrtle Beach and tons of beaches in North Carolina and South Carolina all very close by.
