I found out about this campground by word-of-mouth, and I RV camped there on Easter 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

I am writing to say what wonderful times we have had at Butterfield Ranch over the years. My wife and I have camped there since 1967 and seen a lot of changes since then. The latest owners have made many improvements in the last couple of years. We were out there last Presidents Day and it snowed that weekend.


What a treat. They have added a Wi-Fi hot spot, and as a business owner that is great. I have even closed business deals while camped there. We have also enjoyed Chuck Wagon Style barbecues provided by park management. The managers, Marty and Sheila, are very nice to deal with. They do their best to accommodate their quests. There are many fun things to do there. For example, star gazing, off roading, hiking, swimming and sharing many good times with friends. The weather is very nice from November to April or May. We even camped there in August three years running, and it never got over 95 degrees with clear blue skies and beautiful mountains surrounding the park.
