I found out about this campground from friends, and I RV camped there in October 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
We had a wonderful time. The campground is clean, and you can back up to the water. We were able to fish from the back of our campsite. Most of all, it was 20 minutes from our home.
Pros: Clean, neat and the office staff was friendly. Campground was quiet and peaceful.
Cons: They charge for people to come in. If you have a guest, it is $5.00 per person over 4 years old. This gets to be expensive, if your guests are coming just to eat or sit at your campsite for a few hours. They charge $5.00 a person whether you use the pool or fish. The fish that you catch are so small, and the whole weekend we never saw anyone catch anything big. I just feel if you want to charge $5.00 a person it should be well stocked with big fish or do not charge for children under 10 years to fish. Let's face it, small children do not catch that many fish. My grandson caught three fish under 3 inches, and we put them back. I talked to several campers, and no one caught anything bigger than that. What I am trying to get across is that we love the campground, but for us to have our family there it would cost us $60.00 a day extra just for them to come and sit by the camper and eat with us. Only a few people would have fished, mostly small children, and we do not use the pool ever.
I feel there should be a way to charge the adults if they are going to fish and not charge the people that do not fish and do not use the pool.

Further comments: There is a new RV resort coming to this area that is going to be very nice. However, I would still like to be able to go to Poche's as well, but it is too expensive for our family to just visit with us and to eat with us.
