What is a Good Camping Stove?
If you are a person who goes camping more than twice a year, you want to have a good camp stove.
There is nothing worse than being miles away from any civilization and not being able to cook the food that you want because the burner won't light.
I have fallen into the trap of purchasing the cheapest camping stove that I could find at a camping shop several times, but I won't ever do that again.
What I found was the cheap camping stove worked well for the first few times, and from then on it would always cause issues.
I would get rid of it and buy another cheap one, only to find that the same problems occurred.
The solution that I have found is simple; purchase something that is a bit more expensive to start with and keep it for life.
My dad has a Coleman cooker now that has been around for well over 10 years.
Its been dropped, stood on, smashed around in the back of the car, used to melt lead and we have yet to have a problem with it.
Its so simple; you really do get exactly what you pay for.
My suggestion then is to stick with the better known brands.
Coleman do an exceptional job with the green cooking stoves, and there are many other big camping brands that do the same sort of thing.
Shop for quality and overall value, not for the cheapest price! By doing this I will guarantee that you save money over the longer period.
