Washington Hunting Property
- A variety of geography is found in the Washington. Mountains, forestland, river bottoms, and open prairies are just some of terrain features found in the Evergreen State. Washington also commonly experiences unpredictable weather because of influences of the Pacific Ocean and its varied terrain.
- There are 32 Wildlife Areas scattered across the state that provide access and acreage for hunting purposes. The Bureau of Land Management provides six areas for hunting and hunting is allowed on national forest land in Washington as well. Hunting on private land is another option for hunters.
- From the Cascade Mountains to Puget Sound, Washington's diverse habitat is home to a variety of species. Hunting seasons in Washington include three species of deer (whitetail, blacktail, and mule) as well as seasons for elk, black bear, cougar, upland birds, migratory birds, and small game.
