How to Install a RCA Home Theater
- 1). Connect the red, green and blue component RGB plugs on the video cable to the three jacks on the back of a TV labeled "Component In," or plug in one end of an S-video cable if component jacks are not available.
- 2). Hook up the RGB plugs or S-video plug on the other end to the matching Video Out jacks on the rear of the RCA main unit.
- 3). Arrange the labeled speakers in the room with the front left and right speakers set on each side of the TV and the center speaker below or above the TV. The rear speakers point toward the back of the seating in the room, turned inward at a 45-degree angle. Set the subwoofer on the floor near a wall and close enough to connect to the main RCA unit with speaker wire.
- 4). Connect each speaker and the subwoofer to the terminals labeled for them on the main unit with the supplied speaker wires. Attach the wires by pressing the thumb levers on the back of the speakers and main unit to open two holes for inserting the wires. The wire connected to a speaker's red terminal must be connected to the corresponding red terminal on the main unit. The other wire connects to the black terminal on each end.
- 5). Plug in the power cords for the main unit, subwoofer and TV into electrical outlets.
