Violin For Beginners - Hard Work and Persistence Makes Rewards!

103 5
The violin is not the easiest instrument for beginners, however the sheer beauty of the instrument will make the violin an extremely rewarding instrument to play, both now and in the future.
As time progresses and you reach more advanced levels the aesthetic pleasure you get from playing the violin will increase, your enjoyment will grow and the satisfaction you reap from a real sense of achievement will make your initial difficulties worthwhile.
With the relatively recent and fast growth of media technology, the amount of accomplished, self taught violinists has increased.
Computer programs, DVD movies, mp3s and e-books have made the learning of violin for beginners a more straightforward (although still, by no means easy) task.
As a violin tutor for over ten years, I can attest that the key to learning the violin is to set oneself realistic goals.
These goals should be written down.
After you set yourself goals you should set about achieving them persistently and patiently.
Initially the learning curve will be steep as violin for beginners is not the easiest instrument to learn, and you will have to tackle issues of posture, positioning and reading music, to name just three.
Some of my students are in love with the idea of being able to play the violin, however the daily grind of actually practicing does not appeal to them, and they make excuses not to work at it.
Do not be one of these people; throw yourself into practice with enthusiasm and you will rapidly begin to achieve your goals.
As you start on your "violin for beginner" course you will be playing mostly "baby" pieces; in fact you will mostly be playing small parts of these baby pieces to start with.
Gradually you will put these pieces together until you can play the entire tune.
Then you will progress on to longer, more complex pieces as you go forward on your journey to mastery.
At this point it is a good idea to continue to warm up with your violin beginner "baby" pieces, the new found fluency and ease you can play these with will be a profound mark of your progress as a violinist and let you realize how far you have come.
I can personally attest that the sense of accomplishment is dizzying.
Starting out on your "violin for beginner" journey will be tough and will require serious hard work and dedication, however I can also tell you that the benefits you will reap make it all worthwhile!
