High Bed Frame

• Build a high bed frame if you wish to have additional storage underneath the frame. A bed frame that measures 15 to 20 inches between the floor and the mattress frame provides ample storage opportunities. The only difference between a high bed frame and a regular frame is the height of the legs. The higher the bed frame legs, the thicker they must be to provide the optimal support for both the bed and the storage. If you decide to build it yourself, select strong and reliable wood such as hardwood or softwood for the bed frame.
