How to Use a USB Transfer Cable on Two WinXP Computers
- 1). Insert the CD that came with your transfer cable into your CD-ROM drive.
- 2). Click "Next" when the Microsoft Installation Wizard window pops up. Read the software's terms and conditions, select the "I Accept" option and click "Next."
- 3). Click "Finish" when prompted. Remove the software CD and repeat Steps 1 to 2 on the second Windows XP computer.
- 4). Restart the first computer by clicking "Start" and selecting "Shut Down." Click the "Restart" option. Do the same on second computer.
- 5). Plug one end of the USB transfer cable into an available USB port on the first computer. Plug the other end into an available USB port on the second computer.
- 6). Transfer files to the new computer by clicking and dragging them into the box that appears after plugging in the cables. If your software uses a "Browse" button instead, simply press "Browse" button and double-click on the files to be transferred.
