Learn to Pamper Yourself in Stressful Times

A age 57 and raising a toddler who is a joy and blessing to my life I have to say that at times I got get completely stressed out.
Being a hair stylist and growing up in my mother and aunts beauty salon I learned very young how to take care of my skin and as my aunt would say how to primp.
We as women have to learn to take care of our self in order to face the day that we know will have its ups and downs.
I would like to share with you the way I have learned to look good, feel good, and ready for my day with a smile everyday.
I put my three year old in bed at 8:30 pm, and make sure all of his needs are taken care of, but if he decides to act out I turn him over to daddy who knows how important it is for me to take care of me.
I go to my bathroom and put on relaxation music, light candles, and run my bath.
I wash my face and use high quality skin care products which are expensive, but have kept the wrinkles at bay.
At age 13 my aunt had her own shop and was a makeup artist.
She started me on products that kept me from having acne and how to keep my skin soft and pretty.
She would also insist that I steam by face every 3 to 4 days.
So I have took her advice and following in her footsteps I am a facial artist, and had a facial room in my own salon.
I would massage, cleanse, steam, tone, exfoliate, and use high quality lotions on my clients, but most important I would teach them the steps to take care of their own skin..
For my feet and hands I use a foot file and foot lotion each night and ware socks to bed, this was one of my mothers tricks passed on to me, but as funny as it my sound she would put lotion on her hands and sleep with gloves on to keep the moisture in.
I do this to but not every night.
It works try it and you wake up with soft pretty hands.
Don't forget to file your nails, and if not color at least a clear top coat to protect them.
I add a top coat every day for 4 or 5 days then start over.
Now if you really want to be ready quickly in the morning get those pink foam rubber rollers and learn to sleep in them.
Now this my take your husband a little getting use to, but when he sees the end result he just might get use to you going to bed with socks on, gloves on and rollers in hair.
My husband has a great sense of humor, and he waited for me to come out of the bathroom and took a picture of me.
My whole family still laugh every time we see this picture.
It takes me about 30 minutes to do this, but the best part of my day.
In the mornings I get up 30 minutes before every one else and have my cup of coffee, and do my daily devotion, and talk with my higher power, and then I feel good, look good, and ready to face what comes my way.
It doesn't matter if you are fat, skinny, or beautiful.
You can be who you want to be look in your mirror everyday and say I am who I am, and I love who I am, and you will see yourself esteem grow, don't ever cut your self down, or beat your self down.
Stand up tall, smile and learn to love who you are.
My daddy always told me that if you do something 10 times in a row it will become a habit so I challenge you to try this for 10 days, and see if you don't look better feel better, and love yourself just by taking the time you need to relax and pamper yourself.
Every one of us have the right to care of our needs in order to be strong and healthy enough to care for our family.
