There are a lot of foods that can be considered as superfoods because of high vitamins being their ingredients. Some regular foods that we usually se in super markets can be really used as superfoods and they will have a great positive effect on our health, an effect that we always desired. Some of these foods contain healthy fats like fish. Sea food in itself is a world of medicine and good taste. Many countries have traditional sea food just because they know it's a good way of keeping our body healthy. Salmon is also one of such sea foods. Salmon is the head and shoulder of a fish or in more easy words they are the fins. Why they are used as very basic superfood is because they have the ultimate power of omega 3 in them.

Omega 3 fats of all other good fats are known as the best for our body. In fish or sea food category of superfoods it is mainly found in salmon. Salmon is also a source of various other powerful vitamins that your body needs for regular day activities. When cooking salmon you should be careful of the shape in which you cook it because there is a lot of protein in vitamins in this super food. You may grill or boil the salmon steak to be served as main dish in dinner time.

Salmon is also used in chunks or nuggets form to salmon cakes and sandwiches. Very ideal for picnics and outings that you may have with your family on a holiday. They are delicious to eat and I don't have to tell how nutritious they are. In fact they are one of the most healthy sea foods available. Just try not to over do the high fat mayonnaise while making a salmon sandwich or steak. Mayonnaise has the ability to make this sea food very unhealthy.

You can easily buy fresh salmon from a seafood store or meat department of the most famous grocery store available in your locality. There is no specific place for it because it is available everywhere. You can also buy the frozen salmon from the freezer section of the grocery store. Salmon is also available in canned containers which are also easily available. Such cans have chunked form of salmon, ideal for fast food. Salmon can be a very good source of calcium as well if you eat its bones also.
