    • 1). Open the program you will use to create the text or images for your labels and open a new document.

    • 2). Select a font, size and color for your iron-on label. The size of your font determines how many labels you can print from each sheet of transfer sheets. If you set your font size to 36, you should be able to print three rows of labels on a sheet.

    • 3). Enter the text for the top line of the label. For example, if you are making labels for clothing items you want to sell, type the name of your business for the first line. If you are making labels for your child’s clothing, write the name of your child.

    • 4). Enter a second and third line for the label using a different font, font size or color, if you desire. Alternatively, you could also use an image you have saved on your computer or a royalty-free image from the Internet and paste it into the label space.

    • 5). Use the program to flip the lines of text and any image to make it a mirror image to enable you to print it and then affix it properly.

    • 6). Copy the single label to your clipboard and then paste it immediately to the right of the first label, leaving approximately 1 inch of free space for cutting the labels apart. Copy the label again and paste it immediately to the right of the second label if you have enough room for three rows of labels.

    • 7). Fill the entire document with rows of the label by copying and pasting the label repeatedly.

    • 8). Print a test sheet of your labels onto plain white paper and then print out the labels onto the transfer sheets using your ink jet printer. Follow any specific printing instructions for the transfer sheets.

    • 9). Cut the labels out with a scissors into individual labels.

Iron the labels on the outside or inside of the fabric, depending on where you want it to show. Place the labels down on the fabric with the paper side facing up and the printed side facing down. Iron with a moderately hot iron and remove the paper backing after the label cools to finish ironing the labels.
