    • 1). Click "Start" and then "Shut Down" to turn off your PC.

    • 2). Press "Power" to turn on your PC. As your computer turns itself on, immediately press the "F10" key. This will boot your computer into the Windows Recovery Console.

    • 3). Press the "C" key on your computer's keyboard. This will start the process that will return your PC back to its original factory settings.

    • 4). Click "Yes" to confirm that you do in fact want to return your computer back to its original factory settings. The warning on screen will inform you that you will lose all of your settings as well as any personal files you haven't archived to something like a CD or flash drive.

    • 5). Click "Next" to advance through the Windows Recovery Console setup process. You will be asked to input information at various points of the process, like assigning a name and optional password to the administrator account on your computer. Once you have the ability to click "Finish," do so. The Windows Recovery Console will now restore your computer back to its original factory settings.
