Click the Windows \"Start\" button and select \"All Programs.\" Right-click the \"Accessories\" icon located in the list of directories and select \"Explore.\" This opens a Windows Explorer window that contains the accessory programs.

Right-click the white space in the window and select \"New.\" In the list of options, select \"Shortcut\" to start the wizard.

Enter \"C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe\" into the text box labeled \"Type the location of the item.\" This is the executable file for the Windows calculator program. Click the \"Next\" button.

Enter a user-friendly name for the shortcut. You can enter the original \"Calculator\" name or give it a new name if you prefer. After you've entered a name, click \"Finish.\" The wizard will close.

View the list of programs in the \"Accessories\" directory. The calculator shortcut will be back in the list of options in the Windows Start menu.
