Dobet Gnahore (pronounced DOE-bay NYA-or-ay) is a young and powerful musician from the Ivory Coast, in West Africa.

Dobet Gnahore was one of my favorite performers at Festival International de Louisiane 2009. Her wild dance moves and thick, throaty voice were beyond impressive, and her band was fantastic as well.
