DVD Profile: "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith"
Starring Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman, George Lucas's "Star Wars: Episode III ? Revenge of the Sith" (2005) is the follow-on to "Star Wars: Episode II ? Attack of the Clones" (2002) and the prequel to the original 1977 "Star Wars" movie.
On November 1, 2005, two DVD editions of "Sith" were released?a widescreen edition and a full-screen edition. Both are two-disc sets, and they are the same except for the aspect ratio of the feature film.
Disc 1 contains the movie, which comes with an optional feature-length audio commentary by writer-director George Lucas, producer Rick McCallum, animation director Rob Coleman, and visual effects supervisors John Knoll and Roger Guyett. Disc 1 also contains a DVD Easter egg where Yoda performs hip-hop moves to "Don't Say Nuthin'" by The Roots.
Disc 2 contains a making-of documentary that is an hour and a quarter long. There's also an 11-minute featurette on the stunts, as well as a 15-minute featurette titled "The Chosen One" that's about the transformation of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader.
Also on Disc 2 are six deleted scenes that have a total running time of less than 10 minutes. (Optional intros are provided for each deleted scene.) In addition, there are 15 short "documentaries" that have previously been available on the Web.
