How Do I Hook Up a Towbar to a 2003 Hyundai Accent?
- 1). Park your Hyundai on a flat surface. Pop the hood and use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the bumper cover in place. Pull the bumper cover off and set it aside.
- 2). Use a socket set to remove the bumper mounting bolts. These are located on the inside of the bumper. Once you've removed these bolts, pull off the bumper and set it aside.a socket set to remove the bumper mounting bolts. These are located on the inside of the bumper. - 3). Slide beneath the front end of your Hyundai and hold the tow bar up to the underside of the front frame. While holding the tow bar in place, use a crayon to mark where the mounting holes on the tow bar match up to the frame.
- 4). Lay the tow bar down and drill holes at each crayon mark. Hold the tow bar back up to the frame and use the bolts in the mounting kit to attach the tow bar to the bottom lower portion of the frame.
- 5). Put the bumper back in place and then insert the bumper's retaining bolts. Tighten these down with your socket set. Reinstall the bumper cover using a screwdriver.
