How to Update an Officejet 8500
- 1). Visit the "Software & Drivers Downloads" page for the Officejet Pro 8500 on HP's website.
- 2). Select your operating system in the drop-down menu and click "Next."
- 3). Select either the full driver and software package or the basic one by clicking on the appropriate link. The full driver package contains a series of programs such as a graphics editor and a scan manager, while the basic package only contains your all-in-one printer's drivers.
- 4). Click on the "Download" button. Select a suitable location on your hard drive and click "Save."
- 5). Double-click the file once your browser has finished downloading it. Click "Next," read the license terms and click on "I accept." The program will now update your printer's drivers to the latest version.
