How to Connect Cox to a Mac
- 1). Unplug the power cable from the rear of your Cox cable modem.
- 2). Plug one side of the Ethernet cable into the "Internet" port on the rear of the Cox cable modem.
- 3). Connect the other side of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your Mac. Plug the cable modem back into a power outlet to connect your Cox Internet to your Mac.
- 1). Click the "Airport" icon on your Mac's toolbar and click "Turn Airport On" to scan for available networks.
- 2). Click the wireless name or SSID of the router hooked up to your Cox Internet service. The SSID is the public name given to the wireless network of your router.
- 3). Type in the password for the router's network in the window that appears and click "Join" to connect to your Cox Internet service.
