    • 1). Capture the image you would like to print by photographing on the highest quality level your camera offers. Some cameras will specify this by naming the levels, such as "Super High Quality," or they may provide a resolution in pixels, such as 2048 x 1536.

    • 2). Download the image to your computer by connecting it to your camera with a USB cord. Turn on the camera. Choose a desired program to use for the download, or use the computer's built-in software, following its prompts. Select the folder on your computer to which you will download the image. Be sure to turn off your camera before disconnecting it from the computer.

    • 3). Open up the image in your computer's image editing program by selecting it from the folder.

    • 4). Rotate the image if needed by using the image editing options. Select which degree angle to turn the image.

    • 5). Crop the picture with the cropping tool. Select the portion of the image you would like to retain, then press "Enter" to eliminate the undesired portion.

    • 6). Set the resolution of the image to 300 pixels per inch. As you do this, the document size, measured in inches, will change. These dimensions are the largest you can print your photo in and still retain quality. You may shrink the print size by entering in the desired dimensions to the document size.

    • 7). Adjust the image contrast and color cast through the image options. These may have to be further manipulated after seeing the printed image.

    • 8). Click "Print." This will open your printer's dialog box, offering a series of options depending on your printer model.

    • 9). Select whether your print should be made as a Portrait or Landscape. If your print is wider than it is tall, choose "Landscape." You may also select whether you want to center the image or enter in a border size to change its position on the paper.
