How to Tie a Bedroll
- 1). Lay a ground sheet on the ground and lay a blanket on top of the ground sheet.
- 2). Lay your pajamas, pillow and sleeping bag on top of the blanket in the center of the ground sheet.
- 3). Make a small roll at the edge of the ground sheet and roll all of the items inside the ground sheet. Roll the bundle tightly and roll the edges of the groundsheet tightly at each end.
- 4). Use your rope or cord and tie a packer's knot in the middle of the bundle to hold it together. Tie a packer's knot by putting the rope around the bedroll and pass the end of the rope around the standing part of the rope.
- 5). Make a figure eight and feed the end through the loop in the same direction as the standing part of the rope. Pull on the end until it is tight enough to hold the bedroll.
- 6). Tie two packer's knots at each end of the bedroll.
