How to Hand Knit Baby Slippers
- 1). Cast on 38 stitches. Knit the first 12 rows using garter stitch (knit across). After the first 12 rows, start decreasing.
- 2). Knit 16 stitches, decrease by knitting two stitches together (K2tog), knit two stitches, K2tog, knit 16 stitches. You will have 36 stitches left on your needle.
- 3). Knit 15 stitches, K2tog, knit two stitches, K2tog, knit 15. You will have 34 stitches left on your needle. Continue in this vein for five additional rows; you will have 24 stitches on your needle after 19 rows.
- 4). Knit the final four rows in garter stitch. Cast off loosely.
- 5). Fold the finished slipper in half inside out and sew the seam closed from the top to the heel, then to the toe. Weave in loose ends and turn right side out. Knit other slippers in the same exact manner.
