Note that some manuals are generic to cover several models of computers and your documentation may not include this information.

This scan will determine what memory is currently installed, how many memory slots your computer has, the maximum amount of memory that you can install and recommend memory modules that you can purchase from the Crucial website.
- 3). Download and install the free version of SIW (System Information for Windows). Run the program on your computer and click "Memory" within the "Hardware" list. Make note of the "Maximum Capacity" in the summary section.
- 4). Visit the Kingston website in your Web browser. Click to select your computer's manufacturer from the drop down list and choose your computer's model from the list that appears. Click the "Search" button and scroll until you see "Maximum Memory" in the System Info tab.
