Learn to Feel Great!
Feeling great and being happy is usually all that we want in life.
Sometimes we believe that we need a lot of things in order to achieve this: we hear and see all the advertisements, we see other people who have stuff and who are either very happy, who give us the impression that they are happy or who we simply assume that they are happy.
Have you ever seen someone getting into his fancy German sports car, wearing racy shades and carrying a bag of groceries that came from an excellent delicatessen? You probably think that this person is a) rich, b) knows how to enjoy life c) goes home to share this with his/her beloved and loving partner.
These are all assumptions and may very well be true.
Let's hope they are, and let's be happy for them! First thing to be clear about is that you may not need or even want the same circumstances in order for you to be very happy.
Maybe you would in fact be much happier having a simple, tasty picnic near a lake with a great view of the beautiful scenery.
Whether you get there on a bicycle or in a fancy car may not really be that relevant.
Second, as mentioned in the beginning, you do not know if all your assumptions are true about the situation of the person you just so admired, or envied.
Maybe he just used his boss' car to buy something for him and only has to deliver the goods, then take the bus and go back to his small apartment where he lives all alone.
Or maybe he is on the verge of having his car repossessed and makes a last use of it before he has to return it and go back to riding the train.
Maybe it is her boyfriend's car, and when they meet he will tell her that the relationship it over or ask to borrow money.
As a friend once told me: Don't assume anything, as it makes an ass out of you and me (ass + u + me = assume).
In other words, do not get too impressed and feel jealous about what you see others doing or having.
You usually do not know the circumstances and it may after all not be what you really want.
So always focus on the good things you have, focus on what you want and be grateful for all the nice and good that comes your way.
Always be grateful not only for what you have for yourself and your life, but also feel happy and grateful for all the good things that others have.
Feel happy for your friends who are in great relationships and have the nice house and spend time on great vacations, be they close by or far away.
Even in the above example, wish the person to be and have all you initially assumed, without making any connection with your own situation, feelings and happiness.
This makes you feel good, and therefore also increases your own well-being and happiness.
Do you notice something after reading this? If you are genuinely happy for what others have and do and are grateful and happy for them, you increase your own happiness and thus your own well-being.
By increasing your happiness and well being, you feel great and you send out more good vibrations, which will be captured by your environment and the universe in general and return the same to you.
Another beginning of a great virtuous circle!
