How to Autotune Your Voice on Mixcraft 5
- 1). Go to the Download GSnap website and click the "Download GSnap" link.
- 2). Double-click the downloaded file to open it in your unzipping application. Copy the GSnap.dll.
- 3). Navigate to the "Start" menu, followed by "Computer," your computer's hard drive, "Program Files (x86)," "Acoustica Mixcraft 5," "VST," and finally "3rd Party." Paste the effect in the "3rd Party" folder.
- 4). Open Mixcraft 5 and click "File" from the toolbar menu, followed by "Preferences."
- 5). Click "Effects" in the left-hand column of the window, and then click "Edit VST Effects" located in the center of the window.
- 6). Click the "Add" button, and then browse to the folder that you stored your GSnap effect in during a previous step. Click "OK" once the folder has been added, then click "OK" to close out of the "Effects" menu.
- 1). Select the vocal track that you want to autotune.
- 2). Click the "Fx" button for the vocal track to bring up an "Effect List" dialog box.
- 3). Click the "Select an Effect" drop-down menu, and choose "GSnap Pitch Correction" from the list. Click the "Edit" button in the "Effect List" dialog box. This will bring up a GSnap window, where you can customize your autotuning effect.
- 4). Click the "Set Key" button, and choose which key your song is in. Click "OK" to continue.
- 5). Tweak the various knobs by moving them left or right. Experiment with the various settings until you find the proper autotune effect for your vocal track.
