The maximum shutter speed on the "S" series is 1/2000 of a second, while that of the "W" series is 1/1600 of a second.
- All the cameras offer the option to shoot video, in standard and high definition, with a 320-by-240 resolution at 30 frames per second rate being standard. The "W" series cameras offer an additional option of 640-by-480 resolution, also at 30 frames per second, in both standard and HD modes. Three of the cameras offer a 2.5-inch LCD screen on the back, with the S730's screen slightly smaller at 2.4-inches.
- These four Cyber-Shot cameras offer two types of memory for recording your video and still images. All offer an internal memory option, with the "W" series offering 15 MB and the "S" offering 22 MB. In addition to the internal memory, all offer slots for inserting separate memory sticks, which are available in a variety of sizes starting at 1 or 2 GB.
