How to Replace a Speaker for a 99 F350
- 1). Pry off the triangular "sail panel" at the upper front edge of the door panel, using a panel tool. Panel tools are available at auto parts stores.
- 2). Pry up the power switches panel on the armrest with a panel tool. Disconnect the wiring harnesses attached to the panel. Remove a 7 mm screw from below the panel with a 7 mm screwdriver.
- 3). Pry off the reflector from the bottom rear of the door panel. Remove a 9/32 inch screw from behind it with a 9/32 inch screwdriver.
- 4). Lift the door panel off of the door and remove it.
- 5). Remove four 1/4 inch screws holding the speaker in the door. Pull the speaker out and disconnect the wiring harness from the rear. Plug the new speaker into the harness and test operation. Replace the door panel and trim.
- 1). Pry up the door scuff plate with a panel tool and remove it.
- 2). Open the seat belt hanger cover and remove a 155 nut with a 15 mm wrench.
- 3). Start at the top and pry around the edges of the rear quarter panel to release it. Pull the panel off and set it aside.
- 4). Remove four 7/32 inch screws holding the speaker. Pull the speaker out and disconnect the wiring harness from the rear. Plug the new speaker into the harness and test operation. Replace the panel and other trim.
