How to Grow Chelidonium Majus
- 1). Pull up grass and weeds from the growing location.
- 2). Cultivate the soil to a depth of 4 to 6 inches.
- 3). Sow Chelidonium majus seeds at a depth equal to half their width.
- 4). Moisten the soil lightly at the time of planting. Continue to water as necessary to keep the soil from drying out.
- 5). Pull weeds from around the plants to keep them from taking over the growing site.
- 6). Feed with 5-10-5 fertilizer each spring, before new growth appears. Repeat every six weeks until the bloom cycle is complete. Make applications by sprinkling the fertilizer lightly around each plant. Water as soon as the fertilizer is applied to help it soak to the roots and to keep it from burning the foliage.
- 7). Snip off flowers as they fade, unless you prefer the plants to spread by seed.
