    • 1). Open holes in the cabinet to accommodate any water-supply lines, electrical wiring and drain pipes that need to be passed. In most cases, the pipes and wiring will already have been passed when a previous dishwasher was installed. But if you need to reconfigure the pipes or wiring, open a hole through the cabinet with the drill and a drill bit for wood.

    • 2). Secure the drainpipe to the discharge pump on the dishwasher. Push the drainpipe into the discharge pump and secure it with a screwdriver. Place the other end of the drainpipe through the hole in the cabinet so that the drain pipe is underneath the sink. Connect the drain hose to the sink drainpipe by pushing it in place and securing it with a screwdriver.

    • 3). Connect the existing water-supply line to the water inlet on the bottom of the dishwasher. Apply a thin layer of pipe-thread compound to the water inlet's threading. Tighten the water-supply line to the water inlet with the wrench.

    • 4). Turn off the circuit breaker that powers the dishwasher.

    • 5). Connect the white wire from the electrical circuit to the white wire from the dish washer. Secure these wires together by twisting a wire nut at the ends. Connect the black wire from the circuit to the black wire from the dishwasher and secure them with a wire nut. Connect the green or bare copper cable to the green screw on the dishwasher and then secure it in place with a screwdriver. Place the electrical cover cap over the wires and secure it in place with a screwdriver.

    • 6). Level the dishwasher to the floor by twisting each of the four legs up or down until the dishwasher is level.

    • 7). Push the dishwasher into position and attach it to the countertop with the drill and the screws provided by the manufacturer.

    • 8). Turn on the circuit breaker and the water-supply-line valve. Turn on the dishwasher to test it; if it does not turn on, turn off the circuit breaker and check for loose wires. If water is leaking, tighten the connections with either a screwdriver or a wrench.
