How to Change Your Day With a Simple Gesture

103 7
Have you ever imagined that with a simple gesture you can turn sadness into joy, depression into vital drive or anxiety into tranquility? For your psychic system it is very easy to change state of mind, simply by using a gesture you have chosen.
How does it work? In moments when you experience a pleasant emotion or sensation, which can be helpful to evoke in the future, you choose a certain gesture, a gesture which is easy to remember.
In the context of Ericksonian hypnosis, this gesture is defined as anchor, while in Tantra it is called mudra (in Sanskrit meaning seal).
The gestures consist in particular movements performed in a moment when you intensely feel a certain state of mind: by repeating them afterwards, you can almost magically recall that moment, and along with it the associated sensations and emotions.
If you consciously determine which states of mind you want to "anchor", i.
e.
which states of mind you want to evoke in the future, you can create a vast set of experiences to live again at any time.
But how to make sure that the anchor you install is effective? ->> Evoke the memory a pleasant state of mind.
->> Live it again with all your senses, if possible: images, sounds, touch, hearing, smell.
When your memory reaches its height, make a gesture with the hands (for example the thumb touching the little finger or any other gesture coming up).
->> After a minute, try and make this gesture once again and verify how much it induces you into the positive state of mind.
If you are satisfied, now you have an anchor for your daily life, a quick way to evoke a pleasant state of mind.
If you are not satisfied yet, try again with an increased attention.
This is explained in Fabrizio Ponzetta's New Self-hypnosis Handbook (ebook 2009).
