The Specifications of Mettler Balance AE100
- Mettler AE100 balances consume approximately 10 VA of power at a frequency that ranges between 50 and 60 Hz. When operating at the 220 V setting, the unit has an admissible voltage ranging between 184 to 265 V. The 115 V setting has an admissible voltage from 92 to 132 V. This balance operates best when set up in a location away from direct sunlight. Areas with large temperature fluctuations can also affect the quality of the readings. A solid, stable area free from vibration ensures accurate measurements.
- The power connector for the Mettler AE100 balance is located at the rear, along with the voltage selector switch. A foot or hand petal is also connected in the back of the balance, as well as the data interface. The fuse holder accepts 160 mAT microfuses. A lever for calibration is at the side of the AE100 and screws at the bottom allow users to level the balance. A single control bar is located at the front of the scale, performing functions such as taring and measuring.
- The net weight of the Mettler AE100 balance is 22.71 pounds, including a built-in calibration weight that measures 100 g plus or minus 0.2 mg. The housing for the balance is 11.42 inches in height, 16.14 inches in depth and 8.07 inches wide. The weighing chamber measures 6.77 inches wide, 6.1 inches in depth and 8.66 inches in height. The weighing pan is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 3.15 inches.
- The Mettler AE100 has a typical stabilization time of five seconds with an integration time that is configurable to 1.5, three and six second settings. Standard deviation for measurements is 0.1 mg and the readability of the scale is also 0.1 mg. The weighing and tare range is between zero and 109 g. The stability detector has two different sensitivity steps and can also be turned off if necessary. Ambient operating temperature for this unit ranges between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius.
