  Super straight hair was quite common in the 1970s. While trends come and go, super straight hairstyles are still in vogue. The difference is that the current super straight hairstyles have more volume at the roots. You don't need straight hair to create these hairstyles. Either using a blow dryer and a round brush, or a straightening iron, you can create super straight hairstyles even if your hair is naturally curly.
  
  

Long Layers

• Long, sleek and straight hair looks lovely with long layers interspersed through it. The layers should be long throughout the hair, and a bit shorter in the front so that it frames your face. When you are styling the hair, use a shine spray and a straightening iron to make it shiny and soft. Half- Up

• For straight hair of any length, a half-up, half-down hairstyle is a fun look. This adds volume to super straight locks. To create this look, you just pull up the top half of your hair and secure with a decorative clip on the crown of your head. Enhance this look by adding blunt-cut bangs that are just about eyebrow-length. The look is severe but it's also a way to showcase and frame your face. Bangs

• Straight hair with bangs is stylish and youthful. This looks especially nice with long hair, meaning hair that is three to four inches past the shoulders. To keep the hair from lying flat, use mousse or gel on the roots to give them some volume. The bangs should hang down straight and be bluntly cut. The bangs look best at just about eyebrow length.
