Windows Movie Maker

• 1). Click "Start" on the Windows desktop. Select "Programs." Find "Windows Movie Maker" from the list of applications and double-click the icon to run the software.
  
  
• 2). Select "Capture from video device" on the left side of the screen under the "Capture Video" heading.
  
  
• 3). Follow the on-screen prompts to quickly configure your webcam. Your webcam begins filming and you will be presented with a video screen allowing you to see what is being recorded. Stop the recording by clicking the "Stop" button on the video screen. Save the video at any time by pressing "Ctrl"+"S" on the keyboard.
  
  

Yahoo! Messenger

• 1). Run the Yahoo! Messenger application.
  
  
• 2). Select "Messenger" from the menu toolbar.
  
  
• 3). Click "My Webcam." Your webcam starts recording and you will be shown a screen displaying what is being filmed. Your friends will be able to see you in real time as you communicate with them.
