    • 2). Grab the upper-left corner of the main dash panel and pull it away from the dashboard. Disconnect the clips on the back of the panel to free it from the dash.

    • 3). Pull down the two plastic levers on either side of the factory stereo. Slide the stereo from the stereo mounting dock. Disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the unit to complete the removal.

    • 4). Place the aftermarket stereo faceplate adapter in the dashboard stereo dock. Pull the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the stereo dock to the front of the Sierra's dashboard.

    • 5). Plug the stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads. Plug the antenna cable into the GM antenna cable adapter.

    • 6). Plug the wiring harness adapter lead connectors into the outlets on the back of the new stereo. Plug the antenna adapter cable lead into the FM antenna outlet on the back of the new unit. Slide the stereo into the stereo dock (through the faceplate adapter) until it snaps into place.

    • 7). Place the main dash panel back over the dashboard. Press firmly across the length of the panel to snap it back onto the dashboard. Return to the battery.

    • 8). Place the grounding cable clamp back around the negative battery terminal. Tighten the cable's clamp onto the battery terminal with the wrench. Close the Sierra's hood.
