How to Reset an App Store Password
- 1). Go to the Apple ID reset password page (see Resources).
- 2). Enter your Apple ID in the open box and click "Next." When prompted, select the authentication method you want to use to reset your password. For example, select "Email authentication" if you want to receive an email to help you access your account information and change your password. Select "Answer security questions" if you want to reset your password by answering the security questions you selected when you originally created your Apple ID app store password.
- 3). Enter your birth date and click "Next." Answer the security questions and select the new password you want to use. Confirm your selection to reset your password.
- 4). Log in to your email account if you selected "Email." Click the link in the email from Apple to reset your password.
