During the summer most people are trying to lose weight with some kind of a diet. But the longer you are on a diet, the hungrier you feel. Water

Meet for coffee

When people meet with others in restaurants, they feel pressured to order something to eat. Actually eating outside is one of the basic reasons why people fail with their diet plan. If you are meeting somebody in a restaurant, look at the list of salads before turning the page on the high-calorie meals. If possible, try to schedule the meeting for a time that is more suitable for a cup of coffee or tea, avoid meetings at lunchtime.

Turn the light on.

As strange as it sounds, turning the lights on can help you get rid of the food cravings late at night. It is scientifically proven that bright light reduces the feeling of hunger. If you can't help yourself from grabbing something to eat in front of the TV, choose something crunchy and healthy like carrots, for example. This will save you loads of calories from peanuts or chips. These calories will take you hours to burn in the gym.

Imagine how you want to look.

Put a picture of the person whose figure you admire on the fridge. Every time you reach for ice cream, think of how you would look like when you finish your diet. Most of the times you will realize that the short-term pleasure is not worth as much as the long-term benefits. If you still want to taste the ice-cream in the fridge don't be too disappointed by yourself. An ice-cream is not the end of the world, nor the end of your diet. If you stop there you are still on the right track but if you go further you will definitely say goodbye to the diet.
