How to Attach an Electric Guitar Strap
- 1). Press down on the end of the electric guitar strap where the hole is located. A slit connected to the hole will open up. You need the slit open to attach a strap to a guitar strap button.
- 2). Slide the top of the strap button into the slit in the end of the guitar strap. The strap button will stop going through the slit when the bottom part of the strap end hits the post of the strap button. One corner of the guitar strap will still be over the top of the strap button.
- 3). Push down on the corner of the strap end that is over the strap button. It will fall underneath the strap button. The entire top of the strap button should be over top of the guitar strap.
- 4). Press on the electric guitar strap end to make sure the slit is closed. This will help prevent the strap button from accidentally falling through the slit.
- 5). Repeat the steps for the other strap button.
- 1). Pull the center button up to unlock the strap lock.
- 2). Slide the top piece of the strap lock off of the piece attached to the guitar. It slides off at a 90-degree angle to the post attached to the guitar. The piece attached to the guitar looks like a normal strap button.
- 3). Attach the electric guitar strap to the strap button. Use the same steps used to attach a strap to the strap button in the previous section.
- 4). Slide the top piece back onto the bottom piece of the strap lock. The strap lock will click to indicate it is locked back in place.
- 5). Repeat the steps for the other strap lock.
